  1. So assuming most cases have a PSU fan opening air would come from the bottom of case and up and out.

  2. I have a better idea. Just place all the fans as intake, so it can get all the air it needs. (!)

  3. In my case all fans as exhaust is actually the best way to cool it. I tested like 5 variations. It pulls aor from the gap between the case and glass side panel

  4. Technically it’ll pull air from the holes and crevices of the case since it’s not air tight and works ok. A lot better then all intake

  6. I’ve ran exhaust only setups, just for curiosity sake. It just makes for a dusty PC that runs hot. Mind you, this was back in the 00’s with a Thermaltake Kandalf, a case designed to be high in airflow.

    They kinda are the opposite of a vacuum.

  8. What happens is that you get low air pressure inside, and more importantly, no air *flow* across the hot components. Basically air goes in close to the fans, then comes out again, while the hot air close to the CPU/GPU stands still.

  9. Kind of L take. It doesn’t matter exausting all air still creates a negative static pressure which still pulls air in the case seeking to equalize pressure. It just means you dont include fans where intake would be.

    I have ran fans acting as exuast with no intake for years. I see 1 or 2 C higher ambient temperature inside the PC, however I get next to none of the dust. I have NEVER had problems with my setup. I run a rather hot running CPU I7 8700K that gets no hotter than 75C, and an an RTX 3080 Supreme X 12GB that gets no warmer than 76C fully loaded.

    Intern these sre fine temperatures..

  10. real answer: The exhaust will create a low pressure zone inside the case so outside air will be sucked in from the panel gaps. This is essentially why when building a PC you want more exhausts than intakes. But having only exhausts will not let enough air in.

  11. Well the air would be pulled through any hole available. Unless its vacuumed sealed air will exist. Basically creating a vacuum cleaner and sucking up anything around it for air. In terms of cooling. Well that would be non existent.

  12. Didn’t tech jesus did a video about negative/positive/normal pressure and there was no significant differences?

  13. Cases aren’t really air tight so it will get in, problem s that lo pressure will suck in loads of dust with it

  14. Setting all fans to exhaust causes multiple problems, sure it can’t create a strong vacuum but less air means worse heat transfer. It will heat soak. now also consider that the fans are pushing air out from multiple sides of the case this makes the meager airflow inside uneven. air cooling works best when the airflow moves in a continuous single direction enabling cold air in without mixing it with the hot air being exhausted.
