I wish they made the thinkpad for creative students/ creators. I love my old hand me down thinkpad and its amazing for code but Id also love to edit my videos, create the 3D renders for my EE class and learn to make models for my Aerospace class / dabble some personal projects for my automotive hobby / teach myself the automotive design aspect and not have to rely on my macbook or a wired to the wall PC. Dont get me wrong I love my macbook and I would sell my soul 2 times over for my PC and Legion 14 but theres just something about the hand me down Thinkpad

This same laptop was launched with amd in Chromebook model it was an failure it was touchscreen needs to buy pen seperately etc and flooded to India from abroad for cheap and it was sold by vedors for huge sums.
i have had an X1 yoga gen 6 for a few years and it is, by far, my most favorite computer i’ve ever owned … it runs Fedora Linux perfectly … this one one of Lenovo’s best laptops bar none … it has a glass surface touchpad, the keyboard buttons have a solid and balanced feel (high quality) … the screen is HDR and speakers are Dolby Atmos (two top firing tweeters and two bottom firing mids) … you couldn’t ask for more.
I own an 9th gen X1 Carbon Intel version. It’s one of the worst laptops I’ve ever used. Sure it’s built nice but the PSU whines, charging circuitry on board whines, cannot easily disable touchpad for cleaning, the key rollover tops out at 2 keys max, the 3.5mm audio jack is very noisy, and the spacebar squeaks. The battery life is not great even though the screen is ghosting, and it uses its fan much more often than even a same-year T14s gen2. I thought I got a faulty unit but it turns out it’s not an isolated issue. Also the thin fingerprint scanner/power button combo does much worse than previous models round/square readers.

as a teacher : no pen… the surface 11 tops it easily with flex keyboard
