It has worst breath ability I’ve experienced ever it heats up my ears and make them uncomfortable to wear for more than an hour. I have the white XM5 all the other things are fine.

The noise leak is really bad. At 45% volume, the person near me can clearly hear what’s playing 😭. At100% it’s basically a speaker 😂
They suck, don’t buy them. Mine died from internal corrosion less than 6 months and Sony won’t even repair

There’s a street with never ending road work being done even after they repaved it. Been going on for four years because this gas company wants to drive the neighbors crazy. These do help drown out the noise not all of it if they’re right in front of your house.

300 dollars now. I got the xm3s for 3 years now and they are still doing well even tho they fell down with and without me often. So you are basically paying 100 dollars a year for it, and if you use them as often as me, then they are worth it
If you’re not an audio engineer, then these things will do you well. A little bit pricey for what they are so I would suggest getting them on sale or used, but I just got mine and I love them!
For casual listening, they probably are the best on the market. If you’re getting audio engineer-grade sennheisers for sitting down and listening to music, you’re probably trying too hard.
Go with whatever is best for you.

Same here. It doesn’t have bass kicking like xm3 s. But I love the wider sound stage xm5 has.

In heard they drop the lady telling you which modes your in on the 5s, i actually like that feature….i just purchase the 4s for $200 but upgrading from the 2s but definitely thinking should I return them my 2s are fine still work flawlessly

Before my XM5’s were stolen, I couldn’t help but keep going back to the 3’s for comfort. I couldn’t understand why the 5’s hurt my ears and kept pulling my hair. That should be a category for testing headphones – does long hair snag!
You buy the headphones for good sound, so why would you buy the Sony? the sound is really very bad and it is better to buy the Sennheiser Momentum 4, but especially the Bose QC ultra, and turn the bass down three notches in the app, then they really sound much better than all other headphones for this price, because the midrange and high tones are much better balanced.
Have the xm3’s and there a great pair of headphones. Long battery life, nice touch controls, and Alexa voice control built in. I probably won’t upgrade in a while but I’ve heard that the xm5’s are very good.
Can these be used with the ps5 ?

Just sent back the MX4 s afte a week of them doing my head in with glitches including just randomly pausing playback for no reason. The sound quality was very good sure, but I’ve heard better. Hand many Sony product over the years but the TV I have from them is riddled with glitches too. No more Sony for me.
