  1. Since I’m a Costco member, I will be buying this. What sold me is the very portable size & handle. And that it can be charged to 100% in less than hours & a half. Perfect when on the road to find a local library to charge it at. I’m kinda lost on all the watts and amps info, but I’ll figure it out somehow 🤔. I really only need it for car camping to power a one burner electric coil cooker, a small electric blanket throw, a mini heater the size of a box of pop tarts, a hanging bulb light, and a few USB gadgets. Though not all at the same time. But then again, maybe. If this all works out, guess I’ll be doing my share of cool weather camping this fall 👍.

  2. Today is Juneteenth so im asking here instead of calling EcoFlow but for some reason without using the unit, my battery drained from 100% to 69% unplugged. Have you experienced this? Is this normal? I’m going to hit them up tomorrow or return it to costco but wanted some info. Thanks for the video man, there aren’t many people that are giving this specific unit any props it deserves.

  3. People really need to understand what they are buying.
This product, and many others in the same class, are very capable units for doing certain tasks, but they have limited battery capacity. I own a couple of small units(not this particular one)and they work if they are used properly. I use a Bluetti EB3a as a UPS for my router because our power "blinks" a lot. The router will then take 5-10 minutes to reboot and I am without internet at that time. Using the Bluetti as a UPS means that, when the power blinks, the router doesn’t lose power and reset. HOWEVER, the Bluetti only has a total usable capacity of around 220 watts, so it will run the router for 5-6 hours before being depleted. If I also plug the TV into it, the battery will last about an hour as the TV uses around 150 watts.
These units are great and I highly recommend having them around. Charge them up, make sure they are shut down, and put them in a closet until you need them. If you make sure they are shut down, they will sit in the closet for 6 months and still have nearly a full charge. You can then charge cell phones, run lights or fans, or run your entertainment system for a short time. Just be aware that the small battery WILL NOT run your "whole house" and these are not designed to keep you going during a full day power outage, For those applications you will need bigger power stations. Remember, the bigger the station, the heavier it will be. You can easily get one weighing 80# or more, and that makes their portability an issue for many people.

  4. I purchased one of these when Costco had a discount. The only “negative” I’ve seen so far is that when you leave it on, it burns through a not-so-insignificant amount of power even when you have nothing plugged into it and gave none of the outlets turned on. I think I left it on overnight, again with nothing plugged. The power went almost down by 10%… I say “negative” because I think this pole usage has to do with the WiFi and Bluetooth built into it which is which likely constantly drains the battery. You can turn it off to stop this battery drain.

  5. looks nice but ecoflow doesn’t stand behind their products. after the customer service ive seen, or lack there of, I would never give them another dollar.

  6. History has proven,if Costco is selling it there’s a hidden flaw that will one day reveal it’s self. I bought one anyway. I like the eco flow stuff and this will be a good starting point.

  7. Looks like ECOFlow River 3 model had a problem as the MFG has a large number of refinished units for sales. Price below $200. No thanks

  8. So I bought this on the channel’s recommendation. It came yesterday, and it’s generally exciting. It has quite a few more features than even mentioned here, including that the Costco version comes with AN extra pop-in battery pack for your phone (total of two). I’m using it primarily as a UPS for the home office. There is one catch I would point out to anyone who is using it as a UPS for electronics — and there is a massive Reddit thread where this is discussed — the voltage range the unit finds acceptable before switchover is 80V~170V, which is not great. As a surge suppressor, it can only handle <=150J of surge energy, which is also not great. In the thread, Ecoflow says they’ll look into it if people need better protection. Of course, I have surge strips and a whole house surge suppressor, and even suppressing power outlets, but I sort of count on a UPS as being a great power conditioner. For now, my River 3 is connected through one of the "surge only" ports on my old UPS.

  9. Who’s the target audience for these power stations? Campers? Or people who don’t want to buy whole house generators?

  10. this is actually better than the Anker offering. Anker’s has no UPS communication. AND it needs internet "during" firmware update, which is ridiculous as you need this things as UPS, probably for your Internet…

  11. Was super excited for this deal until I did more digging… apparently it’s a very bad UPS. It has no voltage regulation and passes on all fluctuations/sags causing all unexpected behavior with restarts and shutting off entirely. Was sad to see this, but the only UPS type feature is the 10ms cutover and that’s it.

  12. Genius device, as it has more Watt/Hrs than my Goldenmate LiFePO4 UPS, however, mine will do 1000VA and it has about 235Watt/Hrs and was about $200 as well. Stay away from Lead Acid UPS, they are garbage and only run a decent PC a few minutes. That COMM cable can be used for a NAS as well as a PC.
My UPS not have one, but they have models that do, as well as higher Watt/Hrs than even this Ecoflo. Mine outputs pure sine-wave also. As a DESKTOP PC guy, this is a genius device Ecoflo has developed. Only buy LiFePO4-based UPS or power stations PEOPLE! I would say a dedicated UPS is still better, as mine shows Volts/Watts in AND out, and does double conversion. My newly built PC is rocking an RTX 5070 OC/i5 14600KS and only pulls 120ish Watts browsing, Maybe 150 Watts with YouTube full screen. Mine also does some voltage regulation too.

  13. I was keen on buying it until you told me there is a max wattage of 600 which is nothing for today’s PCs 😅

  14. An app is stupid stop demanding that things are coupled to apps, stop tolerating that these companies want to put their buggy security hole filled crap on your phone with full code execution privileges.

  15. Looked at the newest best recommended and haven’t bought a power station because a better unit always up next always available .

  16. 600 watts isn’t enough. For reciprocating saws and gaming pcs you need 850w. For circular saws and heating water you need 1200 watts. For electric chainsaws, room heaters, ovens and table saws you need 2200 watts. Save your money and buy a 1000 watts unit, it’s just about good enough, 600w isn’t.

  17. Might be kinna dumb question but can it run a rice cooker? And how about a string of lights like a low power light for camping? Seen it at Costco today and was thinking about getting it

  18. Wireless charging is handy but when dealing with limited power capacity it seems to be a bad idea since it is way less efficient than connecting directly

  19. Spend a little money and get rid of your gas generator.. Max 2 pro + extra battery and two 400 watt panels 🙂

  20. Just bought one based on your review… Hopefully, no regrets. Online order. Executive rewards. Easy returns. Win win.
