What was the total cost for everything ? Including electronics and construction
Hey Brian… great theater! One question…since the Parasound amp doesn’t have a built-in low pass filter , are you using an inline crossover to set the low pass frequency for the bass shakers?
Everything good but i would go bigger screen then 130inch. With that distance i would go 144-150…
This is absolutely amazing. Quick question on the entry door – what door did you use? Did you have the door handle on the inside with the latch strike or just the pull handle on outside with fingerprint lock and push panel with the deadbolt lock on the inside?
rought cost estimate?
The only thing that urks me, and a lot of expensive home theatres have this, is the 2.40:1 aspect screen. What happens when you watch something that has IMAX footage in 16:9, like The Dark Knight or Top Gun Maverick? Do you have pillarboxes on the side? then what happens when it switches from the 16:9 IMAX footage back to the 2.40:1 footage? Does it Pillarbox AND Letterbox the image? What about movies that are in taller aspect ratios like 1.85:1? TV Shows?
Like I get that the 2.40:1 screen looks more high end and theatrical, but it just doesn’t seem practical at all. But what the hell do I know, it’s not my theatre room and not my money.
Great ideas! I’m planning one and don’t even know what I want.
Wow, just wow! This is one of the best ones I’ve seen so far and the size of the room matches my planned space, so I can get a decent appreciation for the amount of room to work with. One day, when I’m big, this is what my theatre will look like – for now, baby steps :).
I can really appreciate Brian’s home theater I love the Sony projector, screen innovations slate acoustic cinescope screen and bowers and willkins speakers combination cause that’s exactly what I want when I buy a new house a few years ago I wouldn’t have known how premium his home theater really is I forgot about the vicoustic panels a must also p.s nice av rack
Those Sony Projectors aren’t bright enough for the price tag. $15,000 for a 2000 lumen projector makes no sense.
thats a great idea that vent behind the system,, that takes the heat and sends it through the house….i wouldn’t have thought of that… great job guys…truly well done .. from Auckland NZ
Not sure if this was covered, but is Brian using a panamorph lens or using lens memory?
Clean.. Very similar to something I would do..
Building a space of this level and using any paint finish other than flat is ridiculous.
I likey, definitely price is no object…very jealous.
apple tv lol
Well done
Brian

And thank you for demo,
Thanks to Build Montage.

summary: money give you anything
wonderful…. _love_ the *Bowers & Wilkns,* theyre my fav.
I wonder how much it cost to build such a wonderful home theater
Competent dealer. Everything thoughtful and devoid of the random collection of goods often seen with DIY jobs.
That’s a cool home theater
INTERVIEW WITH BRIAN IN A NEW VIDEO!!! – https://youtu.be/Sg1U9_R6Wy4
Well done. Classy build
Love it
why there is no separate chair for a spontaneous guest
Watching this one again….beautiful room, beautiful video. Awesome!
Are those Valencia Tuscany’s still available? I don’t see a “charcoal grey”, they look rather black. Theater looks awesome!
awesome theater brian!!
This is so beautiful. I was discouraged until I found this interview with someone that has the same room dimensions as mine.
1. Is there any way that I can get the plans to the riser?
2. How far is the screen from the wall or is it flat against the wall?
3. How far is the back row of seats from the back wall?
Any info I can get in regard to the plans for this total set up would be great!!
The only difference is that my ceilings are 9 feet high
This is amazing! I am starting to build my own home theater and this is so helpful. I just finished framing my room and riser. @buildmantage is there any pictures/video when this was down to studs? Would love to know what was done to sound proof it.
Perfect!!!

$ $ $ ????
I am working with a similar-sized space. awesome
7.2.4 What should be the ideal room size ratio for installation?
Nice, it just gets on my nerves when people on YouTube say they have a home cinema or home theater and they have a tv, I’ve never been to the cinema to watch a tv it’s always a projector
Increíble
Very cool
What the heck does the guy do for a living? How can you afford this?
Very nice! Gotta love a bit of B&W too
What are the colors of the theater? It’s beautiful
So, like, uhm, where does Brian live, like what’s his address.
Wow – perfection!
In such a beautiful private cinema with luxurious decor, I admit to being surprised that you did not install JBL audio equipment.
That said, Bowers & Wilkins is a very good brand but has no experience in professional cinema and film studios where films are made with JBL monitors most of the time. I would have seen JBL SYNTHESIS. But maybe it’s a question of budget because JBL let’s face it, it’s expensive.
Why are you talking? We should be hearing this from Bryan since it is his and he knows more about it.
amazing design!!! great job!!!!

Hi Regarding Aria vent-wondering if I can install it as a return vent? Is it possible to add a filter to it if i use it as a return vent?
Nice theater but the base transducers are a little gimmicky. Well
Placed and aligned subs will impact and shake anything that needs shaking without feeling like the neighbors below are pounding on the ceiling telling you it’s too loud.
Hmmpf,
would not want it in my house. I bet it sound very loud! Very bad for your ears! And the looks bléhh, ooowh matching lights.

Jealous!? Noooooo
