  1. What matters is bitrate at which the information can be captured off the camera. And the flexibility of the sensor (sensor quality) and the lense. With webcams everything is static, you can’t put a different lense on, you can only change setting so much, and the sensor size is small. Which this means less light getting in. You need good lighting, a solid refresh rate (not super high, just no lag), proper color grade settings, a good data cable that can actually handle the output of the camera, and a device that can record it with the best quality. There is a lot of things that go into making any cameras image. It’s not as simple as increasing resolution. That’s why there’s cheap 4k cameras out there that have a 4k resolution, but can’t handle the data processing in the camera. That’s why 8k on a phone doesn’t beat 4k from a canon C70. Massive difference in price yes, but by the logic of just looking at resolution, means that you wont be looking at the specs that matter. There are cameras out there that shoot great 1080p video that blows a lot of 4k capable cameras out of the water. But with webcams, they are targeted at people with little knowledge of camera technologies. So there is a lot of misinformation and marketing schemes behind a lot of webcam content.

  2. 1) neither are 4K cuz I’m watching on an iPhone and each clip is half the screen.
    2) one is a mirrorless camera and one is a webcam. 720 on a proper cam would any day beat a freakin webcam

  3. I know the top is 720 p device name soni zv-E10 and the bottom is 4k device name brio 4k hope this help you guys

  4. Top is an APS-C sensor with superior optics. Mirrorless cameras are limited to 720p whilst connected via USB – hence the low resolution. A webcam, with its tiny sensor, will never compete in overall quality. More pixels crammed into a smaller sensor does not equal better.

  5. For me its literally 720p vs 1080p which is why its hard to see but if im on a 4k monitor (which 96% of steam gamers arn’t so about 99% of people arn’t) then its 10x easier to spot the difference

  6. As a guy who recently switched from 720p webcam to 2k I can notice big difference the 720p is more smoother and 2k is more sharper and more wider

  7. I think it has more to say about how much better a $700 Sony ZV-E10 is at 720p compared to a $125 Logitech Brio 4k web camera. There are many shitty "4k" web cameras on the market. I think it you used the same camera at 720p and 4k the difference would be more noticeable, although probably not using the Sony.

  8. Great fun video!

My thoughts to get it right were:
    1. Let me anylise the contrast… hm by the contrast I can’t be sure
    2. Let me see if I can spot pixelated vs less pixalated… hmmm again, I can’t be sure
    3. The bottom camera’s lens is wider than the above… hmmm usually 720 cameras have a standard 18mm or close lens…
Final answer: above 720, bottom 4k
Tu nu nu (who wants to be a millionaire suspense theme song)

    YOU ARE RIGHT!
