  1. People spend all that money on a theater, and they mount the LCR in a triangle shape (and probably pointed off-axis, to boot!). 🙄 Are people just petrified of Acoustically Transparent screens?

  2. The gold standard is now 9.4.6. The 4 subwoofers can be cut back but the 9 and the 6 should not be. There should be 2 wide speakers and 6 overhead speakers. It’s one thing designing a living room for surround sound when the room is used for other purposes. But a purpose built theater in 2024 MUST HAVE 9 bed speakers and 6 overheads. Otherwise, please: don’t bother.

  3. I love the room! It looks great! It looks like it’s just a spare room of the house.

I would’ve put $ into sound proofing to try to keep the sound from escaping the room and annoying everyone in the house, especially with the bass.

Only having 1 subwoofer breaks my heart to see. 2 is the bare minimum IMO. They could have easily gotten 4 in there. 4 PB 1000s pros would’ve been nice if they didn’t wanna spend as much for 4 PB2000 pros.

I wouldn’ve moved the left and right speakers down slightly to at least attempt to keep the LCR tweeters at the same height. Missed opportunity for not going with an acoustically transparent screen. I would’ve def gone with high efficiency speakers but that’s just me.

    Overall I really like room

  5. I think theres only a certain amount of update for soundbars, as they are just that, bars, but a separate Bluetooth Atmos set up may be an option, but definitely an extra sub connection at least, even a socket, so the Bluetooth can be used at the rear. A frame speaker either side perhaps for Atmos? 🙃

  6. This is an excellent theatre that’s actually attainable unlike many of the rooms I see on YouTube!

  7. The room looks great, but the customers are going to be so underwhelmed with the audio with only one sub.

  8. why not install black Power plug receptacles and surge protected plugs where needed instead of white and extender surge protector plug????

  9. I had no intention to watch this entire video, but you kept me riveted with your exceptional speaking and continual movement. This is a great video demonstrating your versatility and professionalism. Great job Zack!

  10. You had me glued to my phone for over 1hr Zack. 😂😂😂

It’s really worth the time. What an amazing job you & your team did out there.

    I’ll keep in touch

  11. Powering those ‘Focals’ with just an AV receiver is both a waste of money and those expensive speakers potential! Instead, you could have gone for some less expensive speakers, a preprocessor, and a power amplifier, which no doubt would have sounded more articulated.

  12. Why don’t you install a Whole House Surge Protector which costs about $ 600.00, and is wired into the house breaker box?

  13. Zach going "we’ll be doing this…" and "I’ve just done that…" when it’s actually Juan and the bros doing all the heavy lifting :v Amazing install!!! 💯👌🏽

  14. Yeah, the only problem with a cinema room is that most movies of today are such garbage, that a cinema room doesn’t make much sense.

  15. You guys did beautiful whole 5.1.2 setup… but the owner uses a 7.1 receiver. That’s nuts. lol. Why didn’t he utilize the full capabilities of the Marantz surround channel out put ?. Was he zoning them to another area in the home?.

  16. Just finished my 5.2.2 focal home theater after purchasing the speakers and subs from dream media. These guys were great to deal with and really helped me plan out my room.

  18. HOW MUCH FOR ALL THE WORK AND APPLIENCES? ABOUT A 100 BUCKS? THREW IN A LITTLE NATIVIST COMMENT THERE…WHAT IF THE CUSTOMER WANTS SPANISH?

  19. If you have the time to sit down and watch it, these full install videos are really fun! For anyone who doesn’t know the minor details of an install, it’s really cool to learn.

  20. Nice transformation but I don’t recommend anyone using what looks like 16-18ga speaker wire you see here. Not sure why they didn’t go 12ga. That should be the standard in home theaters, especially if you upgrade at some point in the future to 4-6 Ohm speakers with dedicated amps. And yes the gauge wire makes a huge difference to get the most out of your speakers.

  21. Initially I thought you were mounting the center channel above the screen I saw you cutting openings for the front and left in-wall speakers. My question is why use in-inwalls for LR and on-wall for center channel?

  22. I can’t bake cookies but I thoroughly enjoyed this video! Generally speaking, it made a lot of sense. Thanks for sharing!

  23. Great work. I think I would have home with some larger speakers for the LCR. Also, why not split the side absorbing panels into two and put side speakers in between

  24. Hi Zack. Brilliant video, what an amazing transformation you and your team did in this theatre room. I live in Perth Western Australia, our homes outer and inside walls are clay brick. I would add 10 inches to the length and width of a theatre room when building, so stud walls can be fitted inside for easier fit outs. I wish I knew what I know now 25 years ago when I built, which I had a dedicated theatre room, 6.5 x 4.5 metres and 2.584 high ceiling, also, I would have deleted the sliding door going outside, I am closing it in with a stud wall, sound proofed. I’m adding 4 Atmos ceiling speakers, so I bought the, Onkyo TX-RZ70 receiver and upgrading the 105 inch screen to a 3 meter wide screen, 118 inches wide.
Thank you for your great videos you post. Take care. Gary 😊

  25. Are there pads that go on the back of the aluminum screen frame to keep it from rubbing or vibrating against the wall?

  26. This video is fantastic! I bought a house with a theatre set up but the equipment was old, so I’ve been replacing everything. This really helped me figure out so much in reference to the AVR, Speaker placements, automation and leveling the projector! I didn’t even think of this step! And I love the back lighting! Thank you!

  27. Are there any Reasons why so much Installers never heard of Array Solutions and Bafflewalls for the best Bass Response in Small Rooms (outside of my country) ?
I know its different when youre a Dealer and need to cooperate with certain brands to stay relevant at the Market (and cant build DIY Subwofer Cabinets). But here in my country the realy good / high end Homecinema Companys and also private people / guys who live the homecinema hobby, they build Cinemas wich are 2-3 Levels above for example this one.
Double Bass Array including certain Chassis for the Subbass and Kickbass, massive Acoustic Treatment in form of bafflewalls etc.
This are massive differences when you compare this with an sad looking SVS Sub in the Corner. Is the Time Limit for this build so limited so you cant plan and specific Bass Concept or does the customers dont want it ?… i’m just curious why people leave out such an big step in the overall sound quality & performance

  28. Epson 12000? I always think it’s funny when people spend more on seating than on the actual Theater projector! 133” on this projector is not anywhere near HDR, nor the optical quality to make 4K really stand out. Why??
