  1. Im here to get some recommendations of changing monitor form 1080 to 1440 or 4k in 2024. Btw, wtf was that 9:58. My setting is 12400 3080 and 32G 3200 RAM. I can just only run around 330 fps in low image quality😢. -It is time to change my pc to 9800X3D and 5090-

  2. It is CRAZY how fast the Market is changing.

You said you payed 900 Euros for a 144 Hz, 4k IPS Monitor.

Two Years later you get for the same price an Alienware, 4k, 240 Hz, WITH AN QD – OLED Panel, YES BABY YOU HEARD RIGHT !!!!

  3. This video is so helpful, thanks! I was worried I’d made a mistake buying a 32” 1440p instead of a 4k. But I actually sit about 120cm away from the screen on a couch, playing ps5 mostly, so the PPD calculator was reassuring.

  4. My 27" gaming 4k monitor broke today (gotta take it to warranty repair, one month and 10 days warranty left!) and I put my old 24" Samsung FullHD TV as a PC monitor until the monitor is fixed and I surely the quality of the picture is quite bad (or maybe just TV settings), but dang I immediately noticed that actually 24" seems so much more "comfy". Hard to say why, but it feels somehow "better", only annoyance is the picture quality because this is TV (and very old one) and not the monitor and quality difference can be seen easily because of this.

I started even to think maybe I should buy a 24" inch PC monitor instead because this size just feels better.

  5. Unless you can afford the Absolute best hardware on your pc i wouldn’t go 4k for gaming. Its going to be a waste, some titles currently even with the best hardware you still don’t want to run 4k as having pretty pictures means nothing when its stuttering constantly and perhaps even getting VRR flicker which is 20X worse than slightly less smooth edges. If the game is actually good and you are immersed in graphics, in the end of the day that doesn’t mean all that much, but your experience while gaming does, which is why you’ll see the overwhelming majority of people actually turn down graphics on their games to improve their experience and fps.

  6. Honestly, I’ve never had a content creator who gave me a damn good reason to watch an ad. Your segway into the ad while leaving us to compare monitors at the 3:50 mark was genius. Kudos.

  7. this video is a bit hyperbolic i have good eyesight and 1080p image quality is fine. i think this guy needs his eyes checked

  8. 1440p is just overall the best – but the issue is that many don’t make videos etc with 1440p resolution – it’s always either 1080p or 4k, which sucks.

  9. 1080p only 24", because at 27" pixels are stretched on a 1080p display, sweet spots: 24"-1080p, 27"-1440p, 4k-above 27.

  10. thanks, for comparison I wish that you record some materials from them and then show here instead of filming it, but it was enough also 🙂

  11. Of all the display YouTubers. Your content is actually informative. Teaches people how to make good decisions by themselves, without being sold something.

  12. Even within the desktop category, larger screens are naturally viewed from a larger distance which is a big advantage of a 32inch 1440, over a 24inch 1080 screen, despite having the same pixels per inch.
There are additional effects to consider including the stereoscopic nature of human 2-eyed vision(Sitting close to a small screen forces you to be more cross-eyed and cause muscle fatigue.). Focal depth of field is better at medium to long distances, which is fully independent of angular resolution. Larger screens with longer nominal viewing distance are also less sensitive to the position of the viewer’s head (eg 10:90 vs 10:60).

  13. You also could have mentioned an important detail: 8-bit and 10-bit. They are responsible for color accuracy, even though it’s extra. Still good to bring up to your attention.

  14. Hi. Thanks for very good explenation. Is it possible to test monitors for graphical design or et list to recomend what is better Dell G2724D or Samsung odyssey g5 AG500 (DG500) with price about 300-400$. I know that those two are the gaming but good profecional for graphics is few times expencive. thanks in advance

  15. I wish there was more 24 inch 1440p monitors. The PPD is there without the current drawback of 4k gaming. There’s a fair amount of game that can be run well at 4k 120hz+ but game are so poorly optimized with developers relying on frame gen or TAA…A great 24" 1440p mini-led with 2000 zones with a good algorithm would be a god sent.

IPS panel have come a long way, people should buy whatever float their boat. You can get a decent 1440p IPS panel for dirt cheap and 4k monitor are getting very affordable (275$ USD in some case).

  16. Got a Samsung 4k non gaming monitor at like less than 200 dollars new on Amazon in 2019 , best purchase i’ve made so far

  17. 1080 resolution 27 inches – for games – distance to avoid visual fatigue 1.05 meters, more fps – resolution 1440p QHD (2k) 27 inches – editing, rendering and design, distance to avoid visual fatigue 33cm less fps –

  18. Very useful analytics, it seems 4k monitors are still too expensive and really decrease fps on average graphic cards.

  19. I’ll only ever game in 1080p. When bullets are flying at you from all directions, the last thing on my mind is how detailed the grass looks.
