It’s interesting that after watching tons of videos in this subject, most of them showing high-end equipments that cost multiple the price of this, this is still by far the best implementation of a home theatre for me. It just feels like a real cinema in smaller scale. Also, installig not less than twelve seats in a relatively small space is way more than what I’ve seen so far in most cases. Considering the final budget of your work, the outcome is almost like a miracle for me. Very inspiring content for others (myself included) indeed.
What brand is your 3D projector?
Oh yes
This is actually one of my goal projects to do on my garage great π job
You did a hell of a job, man
πππ
I love the seats gorgeous movie memories when we’d visit theatres w timber floors that smelt musty β€ gorgeous
I definitely love watching movies
I am also a fan of those commercial theater stadium seats with connected arms.
Low cost used, built to commercial standards as you mention, take abuse, easy to clean, and the most space efficient seating due to connected arms.
Would you post the pictures you took from the three Disney parks
After watching Dune part 1 in my basement on my new projector (super cheapo 1080p) I was inspired to do exactly this.
Going to be 3/4 of the walls and using a heavy curtain for the back, but everything else that you’ve done is pretty much exactly what I had in mind for my build.
Thank you so much for sharing!
for under 2K well done sir…… very well done!
How much was it totally
Love watching budget friendly projects. You did a great job. For those hating on the seats, i love nice recliners too but where will all the friends and family sit. I guess it depends on your needs. You are right about the picture. 1080p, 4k, 8k all the different contrasts and refresh rates/frame rates. Sure there’s a difference but at the end of the day the picture just needs to be good because sound stimulates the brain much more and is what really pulls you into a film and can take you to a different place. Now on that note as an audiophile and someone who worked in the industry for a good part of my younger years i would only recommend that you try to stay with one speaker brand for all your speakers and subwoofers as they are usually designed to put out similar pitch and by mixing you will hurt that sound accuracy and overall experience. Some examples of this is def techs will usually be base heavy, Bose have highs and lows but usually lack with mid range, Martin Logan are very detailed and their towers offer faster sound response then any other mid driver and tweeters on market. I know you didn’t ask for my advice but i hope it helps. Otherwise, amazing job on your project. Keep up the good work
Dude it’s a solid build! Nicely done! People don’t ever think to use alternative places to look for items… I go to the goodwill auctions all the time and look for deals…

Incredible! Thank you for sharing
Awesome budget build.
Its the results that count, not the prices.
I think you win the prize for highest performance vs lowest cost, ie best value ht out there
how is this under 1500?the projector itself is already atleast 2k in my country.100 dollar can only get a bulb
Awsame work. π
UNREAL! INCREDIBLE ! This is beating, or on par with any customer, or Geeksuad build!
What was the projector?
Can you do a video about plex how you can store and upload your videos! Also how you set up google home for your lighting? This is so inspiring! I could watch 100 more videos and try to figure it out but, I would prefer to learn from the master! Sir you are the master home theatre DIY Guy!
A home theater has long been a dream of mine. Sadly i just don’t have a good space for it dispite having a good sized house. Maybe one day ill do an addition or build and outbuilding theater π
Joe Frank style!
First movie? Schindlers List? π
Very cool. My wife wouldβve loved if I went this super budget route. My AV received alone was $1400.. refurbished
Whatβs the size of the room? W, L, D and height?
Looks great! Yeah, used commercial theater seats are abundant and relatively cheap but finding some in good condition is the trick. Yours look great. I did my room in flat black and the walls disappear when the lights go out. No reflections on the screen.
Projector, speakers, receiver, subs model numbers? Thanks
It’s a OK π Set Up. I like your premise of a real Theater π Look BUT! Your Entire Theater Lacks The Realism of a Real Movie Theater Palace With a Stage and the Oppulant Grand Curtains. My Roommate Designed And Built Ours and Let Me tell you there is Not One that is as Awesome as Ours. Unlike yours he Added A Actual STAGE That One Can Walk On and Stand On. It’s 14′ Wide With A STAGE Opening That is 10′ Wide So that Makes 2" Of Side Wing Space and the Depth From the Backstage Wall To The Front of the STAGE Is 8′ and the Height From Floor to the Top of the STAGE Ceilings is 10′. The Entire Backstage Wall Is A 10′ x 9" Star Field with 2 Duel Light Engine 1 on either side of the stage Each Fiber Optic Stand Has a total of 1500 strands of Fiber Optic Cables. Directly Above Your Heads On the STAGE One Will See the Brand New System My Roommate Designed Called SSTS. = Smart Stage Technology System. This is the Main Transformation System that provides the Most amazing Silent Visual Effects, All Controlled by your MCT = Master CONTROL Tablet. Simply Tap on the Icon or MODE you want and sit back and watch in Utter Amazement as The Entire STAGE Comes To Life As The STAGE Begins To Set itself up depending on what MODE you choose. And of course at the end of the movie the SSTS will reset the System Back to the original look of exactly how it was when you first came in. All recorded soundtracks were composed and arranged and played by my Roommate as he is a very well accomplished Organist and Keyboard πΉ Player. Ya so this is TRULY A State of the Art Home Theater π in Every Sense,!
This gives me hope! Thank you!
I watch a lot of movies π₯ in my bedroom my bedroom is my personal movie theatre π
This home theater build is definitely more than 2k, especially with labor costs not everyone will be able to do the things you did, not to mention the supply and tools you need to do so.
also 1080p is not 2k its 1920 Γ 1080 it may fall into 2k range vertically but not Horozontally
2k = 2,048 x 1,080 pixels
I fully agree with diminishing returns on more and more expensive equipment. You can pay 5x and get only 10-20% improvement. I don’t know if you have a website or a blog, but what would be very helpful to fellow movie enthusiasts on the budget is a list of recommended budget models for receivers, projectors (regular and short throw), and speakers. There are lots of those sold on FB Marketplace, Craigslist, thrift and pawn shops, but how do we know which ones are decent? Did you buy yours randomly as long as they were cheap or were looking for a specific model?
top of the line audio equipment at a pawn shop selling dirt cheap ? … how long was it sitting on their shelf ? ….
this is not a theater
this is a shame ππππ
great video, very inspiring…. I will try some of these. I never heard of goodwill site, thought they only had stores.
Finding a 2K projector at $69 is INSANE. Regular prices I see here are for 1200*800 are already β¬150-200. I got lucky with our full-hd one for β¬250, but a 2k one for just $69 is incredible.
Love this setup, and so smart how it was built! Maybe I missed it, but where did you get the subs?
I love this….
Now the price of used theatre seats went up. What you did here is really impressive it shows the power of being resourceful.
Super cool. I will go your way for my HT. An inspiring minimalistic and budget oriented setup. Thanks for sharing.
Great job!
Just Beautiful! Thank you!β€
That is fantastic! It looks like a great place to watch movies. You did a great job with that home theater.
Lots of great ideas. Thanks for sharing.
This is absolutely incredible, thank you for doing this video!
absolutely love all the disney parks stuff
Man you think like me. I can’t wait to start my Man cave/ Theater β€π
