Thanks a million. Thats been very helpful
Very informative for Beginner. I did not see a connection to Subwoofers. Is this model support a connection to Subwoofer? or there is another model.
15:45 think raising the high sounded better than cutting the low
I have two questions: 1. When you adjust the reverb, does it automatically reflect on the main output too or there is a nob for the same for it to reflect on the main outputs just like you did with the recording channel? 2. Where do you connect your IEM’s?
I want to connect instruments ( electric drums, guitars) to a mixer and then run the sound out and into a headphones amp. I want to do this for silent practice. I’ve already watched many videos on the topic and they all want to sell an interface yet I have found just as many videos and articles that say you don’t need an interface!! What’s the truth here? Can I simply use a mixer and headphone amp or not?
BRAVO
5:20 Bro just HAD to make a video to flex that thing
Yamaha MG10 does not have 1/8" stereo input. Every possible other way of connecting I thought of sounds like complete ass. What is the best way to connect PC audio from a 1/8" stereo output to this type of mixer? Cables are fine, PC is fine, speakers are fine. Using "Lady Madonna" to test because it was originally mixed as dual mono rather than proper stereo, so it’s really easy to tell if both channels are coming in correctly.
Thanks for guiding us!
man , have to download your vid. the best mixing device tutorial hands down. thanks you so much for sharing your knowledge
Great video, helped me a lot to understand!!! Amazing work!
I just Bought one of these and I really appreciate this video mate, thank you very much!
Thank you sir
Excellent instructional video. I am here to stay. Thank you.
Thanks a lot! Very straight forward and clear vid!
Great video dude, you cleared up alot questions. But is it better to connect the interface through main out or sub for home recordings? I did like the way you ran it.
wow you’re crazy Knowledgeable…really appreciate this video…quick question…on the last segment for insert…would that work with a Digital Video Recorder….like could I go TRS to RCA cables and then have the sound recorded to a dvd? thanks!
One thing I can’t get my head around with submixes is how the numbers they’re assigned interact with those channels on the mixer. So with submix 1-2 in this video… does it have anything to do with channels 1 and 2 over on the left? I don’t think I presently have a use for submixes yet (just doing live sound at my workplace for events) but maybe I do, if only I better understood it? The Behringer mixer I work with is very similar to this Mackie, but calls its submix 3-4.
Oh, yes sooooo easy😂😂😂😂😂😂
Good review and bad review your only showing powered speakers, lots of people have passive speakers with a power amp, starting off they need to know as well..
My mixer has a usb output and i’m trying to use that to connect it into my macbook air to record in logic pro. The macbook is mistaking the mixer for a power adapter. I already tried the bluetooth feather as well and it doesnt work. The mixer I am using is a Kashun CT80S. Does anyone have advice?
Watched this content so many times and shared to my friends, very informative to me especially im just a beginner trying to learn about mixers and learning to use this specific mackie mixer. Great Job!! Thank You!!
How could i do this: main outputs are connected to studio monitors and I want to hear music From my computer to my monitors, would I have to use the line in cable?
I think you need to do a video on how you record using the in built audio interface and if possible it helps with multi tracking or recording.
Kyle, if I have an acoustic preamp(Grace Felix2, and a reverb pedal) and want to have a specific sound that I created, do I ask the sound guy to put all Eq’s at noon and FX(reverb, compression) off on their soundboard mixer?
3 minutes in and I’m already super confused.
Excellent video
Excellent!
Thank you so much for a clear explanation and demonstration. Very confidence building and extremely helpful.🎉
How to connect base woofers to mixer
SUPER, SUPER helpful! Thank you so much for providing this content and doing it in plain-speak so those of us who are not audio engineers “get it” and can really put it to use immediately!!! Thanks!!!
Why the main meters is not light up if I turned off the PFL solo 9:15
Sign of a good teacher – using "we" throughout the lesson.
So mains to speaker BUT WHAT ABOUT THE POWER AMP
Just stumbled across your page, great stuff! However…I have one dumb question.
If you plan to use a DJ controller with a mixer, where do I connect it? The DJ Controller has a XLR output on the back.
Hi! I have a question regarding the possibility to connect the mixer to a pc with USB.
In our case, it is a MacBook that doesn’t allow me to lower the volume when selecting the mixer audio interface, so the fader is almost at the bottom.
I’d love any help here 😅
2:09 some mixers instead have a “On” button
so how do i bring it into my daw and record/mix
Thanks for demistrify the😢 mixer
Heyyy….I have that mixer! I love it!! Use it to mic drums! 🤘🤙
The first thing you should have said is ‘before connecting any cables, make sure all speakers are powered off, make sure the main mix (master) fader is all the way down’.
I was into in-ear monitors before this and I just gravitated to audio engineering LMAO. I got here because students like me who sound engineer on their events just be like "Yeah, just plug this here and here then turn this way up." type of deal. They sure don’t care but I DO so deal with it classmates.
It was a very difficult thing to understand him when I saw your video for the first time. Most of the time and most of things went above my mind but I listened just due to interest. Although I understood a little bit, not thoroughly
Amazing teaching❤
Very nice sir thankyou🎉
If o could give you five stars, I would. This was an excellent tutorial!
Excellent – thank you
I was looking for live streaming and i did not see that, for example u want the output of mixture directly going to iphone so we can live stream . How to do with this mixer
Thank you very helpful
loved your vid. been drumming 4 years, i never ran my system. just inherited what was there. now i will run all my 8 drum wires, plus 2 vocals, plus 3 instrument into my own mixer so i can finally adjust all my volumes. ( they been ran by the house mixer but i dont have a mic, so smoke signals has been my life) im done. PLS HELP: do you recommend me using a 16 or 18 channel mixer just FOR MY IN EAR MONITORS? i will split all my drum mics (8) one feed for the house, one for my mixer, plus i will bring in musician and singers INTO my mixer so i can finally adjust all my volumes without affecting house. thanks for the help in advance, and i will be happy to donate to channel if possible
